Favoite Dr. Seuss Party IdeasWhether you are throwing a party to honor Dr. Seuss on his birthday (March 2nd) or celebrating your child’s birthday, I can’t think of a better way than to dive into the books themselves. The characters, language, silliness and colors provide more than enough inspiration to create your Dr. Seuss party decorations, games and a fabulous party menu. I’ve used a few my favorite Seuss titles (The Lorax, Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham) for this party, but don’t let that limit you!

I was going to write this theme from scratch, but when I saw the terrific ideas my fellow bloggers have come up with, I decided to make this my weekly  ”Pin -It-Post” with featured Dr. Seuss decorations and party treats and then add my own games and activities. We’re celebrating the new Lorax movie release on March 2nd which only adds to the fun and creative ideas…wait until you see the Lorax Juice dispenser..it is adorable!!!

First set the stage for your Dr. Seuss themed party with creative invitations. You can use the internet or printer card stock paper, and Seuss stickers are easy to come by. How about fish shaped invitation delivered with a red, blue, and green gummy fish? Kids will know it’s gong to be a fun party!

Michelle at So Wonderful So Marvelous sent adorable personalized Dr. Seuss invitation books – love this idea! Actually, I practically pinned her entire party because she did such a great job!

After the invitations are sent out it’s time to get to work on creating a Seuss-like mood at you party with creative decorations. Remember to use books and toys you have at home already like you see below and you can also pick up some posters and room decor items. This can double as birthday gifts for the guest of honor!

These Trufflula trees from Feelin’Crafty are pretty adorable. Made with feathers and pool noodles, they may be too much work for a party, but the tutorial is very helpful and they are not difficult.

Now you are ready to plan your party games
