Turkey Favor Boxes

Treats or treasures can greet your guests at the Thanksgiving table

Make a turkey favor box for your Thanksgiving guests.

What you need:

  • Brown “To-Go” favor box (craft store)
  • Brown, red, orange, green and yellow construction paper
  • Two wiggle eyes
  • Scissors
  • Craft glue or Glue Dots
  • Edible treats or gifts


What you do:

  1. From each of the paper colors, cut ovals to make feathers. Once you make one you can trace it to make the others.
  2. With the yellow paper, cut out a small diamond for the beak.
  3. Supplies you need to make a turkey favor box for your Thanksgiving guests.With the red paper, cut out a long heart, this is the wattle.
  4. With the orange paper, cut two small hearts for the feet.
  5. Turn the red heart upside down and glue it to the front of the favor box.
  6. Fold the diamond in half and glue it on top of the red heart wattle.
  7. Glue two wiggle eyes above the beak.
  8. Fold the orange hearts around the box handle and secure them with glue.
  9. Glue the tail feathers to the back of the cup, fanning them out in a showy display!
  10. Make one turkey for each member of your thanksgiving family party and be sure to let the kids participate in the crafting!

    we have a huge thanksgiving party every year. This is a good way to send stuff home without giving up mu good tupperware.. My kids will love doing this to cuase they always say on vacation, ‘I”m bored’, now they will have something fun and worthwhile to do!!

      I agree what a great way to get kids involved, we always go to a church they are like family to us what a great way to get the kids involved in making and giving, even if it candy. This is an awesome idea!! my kids also get bored easy,
