Christmas Puzzle Craft

A fun holiday project for all your elves

Make a puzzle with a cereal box.Don’t put that empty cereal box in the recycling just yet! This is the season for creativity and your child can use the cardboard to make a custom holiday puzzle!

What you need:

  • cereal box cardboard
  • markers
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • gift box

What you do:

  1. Have your child draw a picture on the cardboard.
  2.  Have your child color it in.
  3. On the back of the cardboard, draw a puzzle grid. You can make curvy pieces or straight ones or jigsaw-like pieces.
  4. Cut the cardboard along those lines.
  5. Decorate a box, put your puzzle inside and then surprise a friend with your home-made gift!

Parent Club Tip:
These homemade puzzles make fun cards too! Just put the pieces in a large or padded envelope (check with your post office) and the recipient can have fun putting it together to read the message!
