Beat the Heat Gadgets

Grab these gadgets to get you through these hot summer months

Child Playing in Sprinkler

During the hot summer months, you’re going to need more than just a sprinkler and some popsicles to keep you cool. We’ve scoured the web for some awesome pieces of technology that will make the heat a little more bearable.

The Handy Cooler – $49.99

If you thought an ordinary USB powered fan was all you needed to keep cool, you haven’t met The Handy Cooler. It’s a small fan AND air conditioner in one! It runs on batteries when you want to take it on the go, but if you’re just in the hot office all day it also runs on USB power.

Zoku Quick Pop Maker – $75.00

Popsicles are a pretty great way to keep cool, but the Zoku Quick Pop Maker allows you to make your own popsicles in whatever flavor you desire. The best part? The popsicles are ready in just seven minutes! If you’re feeling a little extra creative, Zoku also offers a Character Pop Maker. It gives you all the tools you need to make cool designs with fruit inside your popsicles.

MistyMate – $14.99

One of the highlights of amusement parks in the summer is standing near the log ride and getting misted with the water as the car goes by. Now you can have that cooling feeling all the time with the MistyMate. This personal mister gives you that instant cooling feeling at the touch of a button.

Snoopy Sno-Cone Machine

Let your kids create their own cooling slushy with this Snoopy Sno-Cone machine. All they have to do is drop in an ice cube, and turn a handle. The sno-cone’s can even be flavoured with juice or soda for a completely customized drink.

What’s your favourite way to keep cool during these hot, hot days? Do you prefer to stick indoors with the air conditioning on? Or do you embrace the heat? Tell us in the comments – we’d love to hear your cooling off ideas!
